Green card holders of certain ages are now required to file Form I-90 to renew or replace their permanent resident cards. This requirement applies to cardholders whose documents are expiring or who have reached specific age thresholds set by USCIS.

Form I-90 is the Application to Replace Permanent Resident Card. Filing is straightforward but has strict deadlines—typically six months before expiration or within a specified window after reaching the age threshold. Failure to file on time can result in loss of your green card status or complications when traveling.
